Isle of Skye- Camping and Heilan Coo

Date of this event: May 5, 2013

As we continued our tour of the island, we paused for a few stunning views of Skye's scenery. Upon catching our breath, we began to scout out a place to pitch our tent. Skye is likely the most incredible place we have ever camped. We had an early night due to the 4pm sunset. In the morning, we came across several of my favorite Scottish animal- the highland cow.

Despite the miserable weather you will undoubtably encounter during your stay in Skye, the isle will take your breath away. Although we had high expectations of Skye, the rainy Scottish island didn't disappoint.

Isle of Skye- Faerie Glen and Kilt Rock

Date of this event: May 4, 2013

Faerie Glen and Kilt Rock are must-see stops one travels around the Isle of Skye. Faerie Glen seems like the perfect setting for a fairy tale. Come here to find peace and tranquility. The fog and mist also made the experience quite magical. We spent the afternoon hiking and wandering around the glen before heading to Kilt Rock.

Kilt Rock is located north as you look up the coast past Mealt waterfall. The rock is said to resemble a kilt, the pattern being formed by the columns and colors of the rock.

Despite being quite busy and overpopulated with tourists, Kilt Rock and the waterfall are a stunning example of Skye's natural beauty.
