Blackness Castle

Date of this visit: January 24th, 2013

We were already in Edinburgh and decided to visit Blackness Castle just before our flight to Portugal. Blackness Castle is certainly worth a visit!
Blackness Castle is located on the south shore of the Firth of Forth.

This 15th century fortress was also used as a state prison.

Exploring Blackness Castle was lovely way to spend the afternoon!
