Our car wished me a happy birthday first thing the next morning! When we arrived in Aberdeen, James had secretly set our car's calendar to remember my birthday!

On our journey home, we stopped to admire a bit of Hadrian's Wall.

"Hadrian's Wall was built by the order of the Emperor Hadrian, following his visit to Britain in AD 122. It was planned as a continuous wall with a mile castle every Roman mile (1.48 kilometers) and two turrets equally spaced between each mile castle. The Wall, with its defense ditches and large forts, stretched from coast to coast, a distance of 80 Romans miles (approximately 120 kilometers or 75 miles). It formed the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire."

Welcome back to bonnie Scotland!

James ordered me a delicious birthday sticky toffee pudding to end a fabulous birthday weekend.
